It’s a historic moment for Jill Scott who has become the first LGBTQ+ woman to win I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Presenters Ant and Dec crowned the Lioness the new queen of the jungle during Sunday night’s final, which saw Owen Warner come second and Matt Hancock third.

After fellow campmate and royal Mike Tindall placed the crown on Jill’s head, she told the hosts: ‘I just can’t believe it!

‘Honestly, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12million votes she’s done.’

She added: ‘We were one big team, I don’t think there should be one winner, we couldn’t have got through it without all of us.’

Fans couldn’t be prouder of Jill, who was greeted by her fiancée Shelly Unitt on the bridge.

‘Seeing Jill talk about her sexuality on British TV and then go on to win the jungle makes me feel so seen as a lesbian,’ one viewer wrote.

‘Jill is a wonderful athlete & all round lovely woman who has inspired me as a young girl. Thank you for inspiring me Jill Scott (& Shelley)’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘Huge congratulations to Jill Scott for being crowned the Queen of the Jungle! You have done the LGBT community proud.’

During the last episode of the series, the trio was tasked with their last ever Bushtucker trial where they could win themselves a three-course meal.

All three celebrities won the stars up for grabs and managed to secure themselves a luxurious feast.
