Caitlyn Jenner NOT “Banned” From ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show,’ Despite Report
Caitlyn Jenner is not “banned” from appearing on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” following their same-sex marriage debate, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop looked into the situation, and we can exclusively reveal the truth.
During her appearance on the comedienne’s talk show in 2015, the transgender reality star said she believed marriage should be between a man and a woman. Jenner has since changed her stance on the issue, revealing in her recently released memoir, The Secrets of My Life, that she now supports gay marriage. However, Jenner also blamed DeGeneres in her book over the backlash she received.
The former Olympian writes in her memoir that she become “alienated” from the LGBTQ community after DeGeneres said on “The Howard Stern Show” that her position on same-sex marriage was “confusing.” Jenner further expresses her belief that the talk show host “took what I said out of context” and “made it go viral.”
An article in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer now features a headline blaring, “Cait & Ellen: Gay Marriage Smackdown!” The accompanying article goes on to purport that Jenner is “banned from the show over the hot button issue.” A supposed “source” goes on to tell the magazine that DeGeneres is so enraged by the remarks in Jenner’s book that she “does not want Caitlyn on the show ever.”
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a trustworthy source involved in the production of DeGeneres’ talk show, and we’re exclusively assured that Jenner isn’t prohibited from appearing. We’re further told the daytime host isn’t feuding with the transgender star and this is simply a “non-issue.”
In fact, Gossip Cop previously busted the Enquirer’s sister publication, Star, for a bogus cover story alleging that Jenner and DeGeneres were “at war” following the reality star’s appearance on the talk show. The feud story wasn’t true then, and it isn’t any more accurate now.
