Paris Jackson has opened up about her sexuality in a new documentary, and said she was “lucky” that her father Michael teased her about girls in the same way he teased her brothers.

Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn is a new Facebook Watch docuseries which gives an unprecedented look at the musician’s life with her parter and bandmate Gabriel Glenn.

In the show’s debut episode, released Tuesday (June 30) the daughter of Michael Jackson explained: “I never thought I’d end up with a dude, I thought I’d end up marrying a chick or … I’ve dated more women than men. Been with more chicks.

“The public only knows about three long term relationships I’ve been with and they’ve been with men. The public doesn’t know about most of the relationships I’ve been in.”

Paris Jackson says attraction ‘has nothing to do with what’s in your pants’.

Jackson continued to explain that she doesn’t label her queerness as bisexuality.

“I say I’m gay because I guess I am, but I wouldn’t consider myself bisexualbecause I’ve dated more than just men and women, I’ve dated a man that had a vagina,” she said.

“It has nothing to do what’s in your pants, it has nothing to do with what your X, Y chromosome makeup is, it’s literally like, what are you like as a person

“Reflecting on her “first thoughts and experiences” about her sexuality, Jackson said she felt “conflicted” when she was younger.

She added: “All I’d ever seen were men and women on TV together, and so these thoughts didn’t really make sense to me.”

Michael Jackson quickly ‘caught on’ that daughter Paris was not straight.

Paris Jackson said her dad “caught on pretty quick” about her sexuality.

She continued: “I think he felt the energy and he would tease me the same way he’d tease my brothers, like, ‘Ooh, you got yourself a girlfriend!’

“If I were staring at a magazine of a woman too hard, he would be like, ‘You like her!’

“I’m very lucky to have that, especially so young, eight or nine. Not many children have that experience.”

After her father died, Jackson moved in with her grandmother, a Jehovah’s Witness.

She said: “Homosexuality in general is very taboo in the Black community, so that on top of the religious aspect, it was something that I did feel like I needed to withhold for a while.”

Jackson, who has suffered with addiction and depression, said that the first time she came out to a family member they didn’t believe her.

But when she went to treatment for the first time her older brother, Prince, joined his school’s Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) to better understand her.

She added: “I’m lucky to have that as well.”
