This must have been the two most beautiful weeks of Spring ever. During the wintertime I've got befriended with the local birds like blackbirds, robin redbreast, starlings, goldfinch and turtle-doves. The usual gardenbirds. This morning an estranged red cat almost grabbed one of the readbreasts. Our dog immediately took off to grab the red stranger and off were all my birdies. The dog returned with her tail proud up in the air and her skin was drrrty. I think the cat must have had a good laugh at my brave dog.

She' s sitting next to me and I have put on some music while making the house a liveable planet, again. Although it's Whit Monday my Beloved took off this very morning to work in her store and our eldest daughter is also an early bird, taking the morning shift at her airport job.

In a couple of hours a brother of mine will be here to tell his holiday stories and together we will prepare the BarbieQ.
